Help & Guidance

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to your most pressing questions about visa applications, embassy regulations, and document authentication.

General Visa Process

What is the difference between a visa and passport? +
A passport is an official travel identity document issued by your government of citizenship. A visa is an official entry endorsement granted by the destination country's government, authorizing you to enter, stay, or work for a specific duration.
Can VisaPort guarantee that my visa will be approved? +
No. In full alignment with international legal standards and our corporate ethics, VisaPort does not and cannot guarantee visa issuance. Final visa approval or refusal is the sole prerogative of the consular officers representing the destination country. VisaPort ensures your application is completely error-free, formatted to embassy standards, and properly audited to maximize your approval probability.
How far in advance should I apply for my visa? +
We strongly advise applying at least 4 to 8 weeks before your intended departure date. While electronic visas (such as Azerbaijan ASAN) can process in 3 to 5 business days, standard consular visas (e.g. United States or Schengen Germany) may take 15 to 30 days depending on seasonal embassy volume.

Documents & Uploads

What are the passport validity requirements? +
Almost all destination authorities require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of departure from the destination country. It must also have at least 2 consecutive blank visa pages.
What file types and sizes does VisaPort accept for uploads? +
We accept files in PDF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG formats up to 10MB per document. Scans must be sharp, clear, and include all four corners of the page without glare or obstruction.
Is my financial and passport data secure with VisaPort? +
Yes. We utilize 256-bit AES encryption at rest, secure TLS 1.3 socket layer transfer, and strict authenticated role-based session isolation. Your documents are never made public or indexed by search engines.

Billing, Tracking & Consular Decisions

How does payment verification work for bank transfers? +
If you choose manual wire/bank transfer, you can upload your deposit slip or wire receipt screenshot directly into the wizard. Our accounting desk reconciles the transaction reference within 1 to 4 business hours, after which your application progresses to active processing.
What should I do if additional information is requested? +
If the status changes to "Additional Information Required", you will receive an automatic email notification with notes from your assigned consultant. You can log into your dashboard to upload replacement documents or supply clarification.
